Professional Experience:
Stella Barba has been part of the world of Tango since 1986. In 1988 she performed in Madrid as a dancer in Armando Caló's production "TANGO REVIEW" with Orlando "Coco" Díaz as a partner. Upon the return to Buenos Aires, she met Pocho Pizarro who has been her main partner ever since. She has also performed with Roberto Tonett "El Alemán", Puppi Castello and others.

In Buenos Aires she has performed in the main theaters such as the Teatro
Nacional Cervantes, Teatro Alvear, Teatro Regio, Centro Cultural San Martín and all the
best known Milongas: Club Almagro, La Galería del Tango, Sin Rumbo, Sunderland, Cuartito
Azul, Confitería Ideal, La Trastienda, Gricel, etc.

Since 1996 Stella Barba has also included the part of the male dancer to
her dancing: as a "man", she was Liliana Tocacelli's partner in "Estercita
y Mimi" and Teresita Brandon's in "Varoneando"

She is now preparing a new video which will be a showcase of the various facets of her talent: dancing with Pocho Pizarro, dancing as a man with Marcela Barrios, performing solos as well as teaching
Teaching:
Stella Barba specializes in the following styles: Tango Salón,Milonguero, Vals,Milonga,
Traspié, Fantasía, Canyengue.
Her ability and experience at taking on the role of the male dancer enables her to teach without the presence of a male partner which converts Stella Barba into a very independent and complete artist, both from the performing and teaching points of view.
Abroad, she has taught in Bello Horizonte, Brazil, in 1993; in Miami, USA in 1996 and in Barcelona, Spain in the 1994 First International Tango Festival of Sitges. She will be teaching in Miami in January 1999
In year 2000 she made two travels to give classes, in April to Florence, Italy and October to Perth, Australia. In year 2001 she gave classes in Toronto (Canadá)
